Embroidery Needles
Tapestry needles are medium or short needles with an elongated eye and a blunt tip for manual counted embroidery with threads on canvas. This allows you to avoid splitting the canvas and to thread multiple strands of embroidery floss. Its thickness is chosen depending on the density between the threads of the canvas. Embroidering with blunt needles is safer for children and easier for those who are just gaining skill in embroidery;
Blunt or rounded-tipped (tapestry) needles are used for cross-stitching on canvas. The rounded tip allows it to pass between the fabric weaves without splitting the fibers.
