Important information regarding the color fastness of beads!
PRECIOSA ORNELA is a leading global manufacturer of high-class beads, pearls, and crystal stones. Various technologies are used in the production of beads.
"Shellac" is one of the technologies that PRECIOSA ORNELA has been using for over 30 years. However, beads made using the "shellac" technology have drawbacks. Tests have shown that one of the drawbacks of the "shellac" technology is very low light fastness. Depending on the intensity of ambient lighting or sunlight, the colors may fade. One of the main conditions for storing products made using the "shellac" technology is to protect them from direct sunlight and ambient lighting under an impermeable cover.
Other drawbacks include low resistance to mechanical impacts and abrasion of beads against each other, and the negative effect of human sweat can lead to staining or color shade changes, products are not resistant to cosmetics.
Products are not suitable for washing and dry cleaning!

* Sol-gel (color on top)
These colors have an average degree of light fastness and have fewer drawbacks than "shellac" colors.
But they also need to be handled with care!
